83, a resident of Superior and Sun City, Ariz., died Friday, May 4, 2001, in
Scottsdale (Ariz.) Healthcare Shea. She was born Sept. 15, 1917, in Duluth, the daughter of
Morris and Eva Levine. Mrs. Cohen and her husband of 60 years, Henry, had
owned and operated the City Market and City Market Distributing, Chef's
Restaurant, Library Restaurant and Zona Rosa Restaurant. She was a member of Temple Beth El, Jewish Women's League
of Temple Beth El, Hadassah, Council of Jewish Women, the Sick Loan Cupboard
and the PTA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry on Sept.
4, 1996, as well as by brothers and sisters. Surviving are her daughter, Joan (Eric) Bradford of Plano,
Texas; sons Ted (Vickie) of Sun City and Dan of Superior; grandchildren
Jason, Bruce and Mark Cohen, Tracy Messerly, Jeff Keup and Aaron Whitesell;
and great-grandchildren Conner and Taylor Keup. Visitation: 5-8 p.m. Wednesday and service at 1 p.m.
Thursday in Downs Funeral Home, Superior. The service conducted by Rabbi Amy
Bernstein of Temple Israel, Duluth. Interment in Tifereth Israel Cemetery,
Duluth. Pallbearers will be: Rick Reiss, Jason Cohen, Bruce Cohen, Jeff Keup,
Eric Bradford, Sherman Harris, Tom Tierney and Jerry Siegel. Memorials may be made to Temple Israel in Duluth for the
